Cabinet Refinishing and Kitchen Painting
SYRACUSE, NY
Erin B. contacted Syracuse NY Painters to get an Online Quote to paint her kitchen cabinets, walls, ceiling and trims. Our estimator, Siobhan C. followed up with an estimate and a work plan. During the estimation process, Siobhan shared with Erin the recommended paint types to be used on this specific project, and other details, including availability, completion time and total cost.
After getting a few other quotes, Erin decided to go with us. She got on our schedule for the next available date and we went right on to it.
The cabinets were already sanded and cleaned. We removed all the hinges and doors, did a final cleanup, added one coat of 1.2.3 Bulls Eye primer and painted it with two coats using Emerald Trim Enamel paint from Sherwin Williams.
There were a few areas with stains on the ceiling. We added several coats of primer until the stains were gone, then, the ceiling was painted using Promar Ceiling Paint from Sherwin Williams.
DAP Caulk Plus Silicone was used to cover any gaps and cracks on the trims/baseboards, and several nail and cable holes and small dents were patched on the walls using DAP drywall compound.
After sanding any patched areas, small spots and bumps, the walls were painted with two coats using an Off-White color, with Super Paint from Sherwin Williams. The trims/baseboards were painted White, with two coats using Emerald Trim Enamel paint from Sherwin Williams. The hinges were painted with one coat of RUST-OLEUM Silver Primer Spray and one coat of RUST-OLEUM Metallic Spray Paint.
The cabinet doors were put back in place and new handles were installed. The job was finished in one day and three hours.
